WE HAVE MOVED!
Our Story….
We were a small mixed farm with a studbook registry for Kyilla stockhorses producing a small number of performance horses, we no longer breed horses but still ride and train for pleasure.
We wanted a dog that had to be good with stock and other house pets such as our farm cats, that would prefer to look rather than chase, a dog that would alert us to strangers adding some level of protection to our farm that was quite spread out in its layout. A dog that didn’t need a lot of grooming and care as I had too many horses to tend to require nearly all my spare time. A dog that could handle long hot days of summer and the cold extreme of winter (thankfully no snow here however it is often a few degrees hotter here than in Melbourne and Geelong). And a dog that wanted to be around us.
This brought the Anatolian Shepherds to the list and given I had encountered the breed many years before, whilst working at a veterinary clinic, I remember I was very impressed by these dogs
So we began our search and journey for our next dog.
Today we have 6 dogs, our first dog is Choban a Pinto male, sired 1 litter but for medical purposes had to be desexed however we kept one of his son’s SNIP ( Kyilla’s Rance) that has developed into a lovely big dog with strong protective traits, check out his pics in the gallery. Yatsi our main breeding female, also strong working qualities is the foundation of our breeding program, we have kept 2 more of her progeny, Tiny and Yogi ( litter 2021)
These sweet dogs are very people orientated and bring a softer type to our dogs, we also now have the lovely Mishka ( Redgum Mishka) to bring further diversity to the bloodlines, growing into a very friendly but big boned gal to the lines.
Check out pictures in our gallery, we look forward to a litters in 2023/24.
Both Yatsi,Snip, Mishka and Yogi are fawns with black masks, Choban is tri coloured called Pinto.
We aim to breed a small number of litters because we love the temperament and confirmation of our dogs and their great fit into farm life, living in rural area allows the to be the dogs they were bred for.
